Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how GenieCaller collects, uses, discloses, stores, and protects information in connection with our websites, accounts, AI receptionist, calling and messaging features, integrations, and related services (the “Services”).
GenieCaller is currently offered under the GenieCaller brand. Corporate entity and mailing information may be added or updated as the business structure develops. Privacy requests may be sent to [email protected].
1. Information we collect
Depending on how the Services are used, we may process account and business information; names, email addresses, telephone numbers and other contact information; business hours, services, pricing, policies, FAQs and instructions; authentication and account information; subscription and billing identifiers; customer-support communications; integration settings; and other information a customer chooses to provide.
2. Caller and communications information
Because GenieCaller operates business communications, the Services may process information about people who call, text, or otherwise communicate with a GenieCaller customer. This may include telephone numbers, caller ID information, dates and times, call duration, routing information, messages, appointment or lead details, communications content, transcripts, summaries, recordings when enabled, and information voluntarily stated during a conversation.
Communications may incidentally contain information that could be considered sensitive under some laws. Customers should configure their AI receptionist to avoid unnecessarily requesting sensitive information and should not instruct GenieCaller to collect information they are not legally permitted to collect.
3. Business knowledge and training information
Customers may provide websites, text, business rules, scripts, FAQs, pricing, policies, service areas and other knowledge used to configure their AI receptionist. Customers represent that they have the right to provide and use this information with the Services.
4. Information collected automatically
We may automatically collect technical and usage information such as IP address, browser and device characteristics, operating system, referring pages, timestamps, pages or features used, diagnostic information, error logs, security events and similar service telemetry. We use this information to operate, secure, troubleshoot and improve the Services.
5. Cookies, analytics and advertising technologies
We may use cookies, pixels, analytics tools and similar technologies for authentication, preferences, security, performance measurement, analytics and advertising. Where required by applicable law, we will provide choices or obtain consent for non-essential technologies. Advertising and analytics providers may process information subject to their own terms and privacy practices.
6. Artificial intelligence
GenieCaller uses artificial-intelligence and machine-learning technologies to provide receptionist and related features. Information submitted to or generated by AI features—including business instructions and relevant communication content—may be processed by third-party AI service providers solely as needed to provide, secure and support the Services, subject to our arrangements with those providers. AI output may be inaccurate or incomplete and should not be treated as professional, legal, medical, financial or other regulated advice.
7. Call recording, transcription and consent
GenieCaller may offer recording, transcription, summarization and related features. Laws governing recording, monitoring, automated communications, notice and consent vary by jurisdiction and circumstance. The business customer using GenieCaller is responsible for determining which laws apply to its communications, configuring the Services appropriately, providing legally required notices, and obtaining legally required permissions or consents before recording, monitoring, transcribing or otherwise processing communications. GenieCaller may provide tools or suggested disclosures, but those tools do not replace the customer’s legal obligations.
8. How we use information
We may use information to provide and administer accounts; operate AI receptionist, calling, messaging, routing and related functionality; personalize customer configurations; process subscriptions and usage; authenticate users; provide support; diagnose problems; prevent fraud, abuse and security incidents; improve and develop the Services; communicate administrative information; measure performance and marketing; enforce agreements; comply with law; and protect users, callers, GenieCaller and others.
9. Service providers and disclosures
We may disclose information to vendors and processors that help provide hosting, cloud infrastructure, databases, telecommunications, phone or messaging services, artificial intelligence, payments, analytics, advertising, customer support, email, security, monitoring and integrations. We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law or valid legal process, protect rights or safety, investigate abuse or fraud, enforce agreements, or in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization or sale of all or part of the business.
SMS messaging and mobile privacy
Your mobile information will not be sold or shared with third parties for promotional or marketing purposes, including affiliates and business partners. Text-message opt-in data and consent are excluded from the general disclosure categories elsewhere in this Policy and are not sold, rented, or transferred for unrelated purposes.
We may disclose mobile information and SMS opt-in or consent status only to service providers that help deliver and support the messaging program, such as messaging platforms and telecommunications carriers, as needed to provide those services. These providers may not use this information for their own promotional or marketing purposes.
GetGenieCaller sends text messages only after the recipient opts in to the applicable messaging program. Messages may concern account setup, requested demos, onboarding, subscription or billing questions, technical support, and service updates. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Consent to receive texts is not a condition of purchase. Reply STOP to unsubscribe or HELP for assistance, or contact [email protected]. Opting out stops messages from that SMS program; it does not enroll you in another program.
10. Payments
Payment processing may be provided by third-party payment processors such as Stripe. Payment processors may collect and process payment-card and billing information under their own privacy terms. GenieCaller may receive payment status, customer, subscription, transaction and limited payment-method identifiers needed to administer billing. Customers should not provide full payment-card numbers, CVV codes, banking credentials, passwords or authentication codes to the AI receptionist unless an expressly supported secure payment workflow is provided.
11. Marketing communications
Where permitted, we may send information about GenieCaller products or services. Recipients may opt out of promotional email through the unsubscribe method provided and may opt out of applicable promotional SMS by following the instructions in the message, such as replying STOP. We may still send non-marketing communications necessary to operate an account or provide requested Services.
12. Data retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including providing the Services, maintaining accounts, security and fraud prevention, billing, dispute resolution, legal compliance and enforcing agreements. Retention periods may vary by data type, customer configuration and legal obligation. When information is no longer reasonably required, we may delete or de-identify it, subject to backups and legally permitted retention.
13. Security
We use administrative, technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No internet transmission, telecommunications network, AI system, database or storage technology can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Customers are responsible for protecting account credentials and promptly notifying us of suspected unauthorized access.
14. Children
GenieCaller is a business service and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly market the Services to children or knowingly create accounts for persons under 18. If we learn that information was collected directly from a child in circumstances prohibited by applicable law, we may take reasonable steps to delete it.
15. U.S. state privacy rights
Depending on residence and applicable law, individuals may have rights to request access to personal information, correction, deletion, portability or information about certain disclosures, and may have rights to opt out of certain targeted advertising, sale, sharing or profiling activities. These rights are not absolute and exceptions may apply. We will not unlawfully discriminate against a person for exercising an applicable privacy right.
16. Exercising privacy rights
Privacy requests may be sent to [email protected]. We may need to verify identity or authority before fulfilling a request and may request information reasonably necessary for verification. Where applicable law permits an authorized agent, we may request evidence of the agent’s authority. If applicable law provides a right to appeal our response, an appeal may be submitted through the same contact method.
17. Customer-controlled data
For information processed on behalf of a business customer, that customer may control the purposes and means of processing and may be the appropriate party to receive a caller’s privacy request. We may direct a requester to the relevant customer or assist the customer as required by our agreement and applicable law.
18. International and third-party services
Service providers and integrations may process information in locations different from the customer or caller. Third-party services connected by a customer are governed by their own terms and privacy practices, and GenieCaller is not responsible for independent processing performed by those third parties.
19. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as GenieCaller evolves or legal requirements change. We will post the revised Policy with an updated effective date and may provide additional notice of material changes when appropriate.
20. Contact
Privacy questions and requests: [email protected]. We will add or update the applicable legal entity and business mailing address when finalized.
This Policy is intended to describe GenieCaller’s privacy practices and is not legal advice to customers regarding their own compliance obligations.
